2022 Virtual Microbiology Student Research Poster Joint Symposium – Cash prizes for graduate students!
To help promote more microbiology trainee research (which has been understandably disrupted over the past 2 years), this year we are joining the Department of Microbiology in hosting a joint virtual poster symposium session on Monday, April 11, 2022 (see attached advertisement). This session partners with Dept of Microbiology undergraduate poster sessions and is intended to give MMID graduate students an opportunity to present their research and prepare posters for upcoming conferences. It’s also a great opportunity to see the scope of science from undergraduate to graduate training stages our University offers. For graduate students, this is a competitive poster competition and any graduate students who enter have a chance to win three cash prizes ($100) at this event, which looks great on CVs for upcoming annual committee meetings.
Registration: Anyone from MMID can register (Free!) to attend as either an attendee or poster competitor. Participation in the MMID graduate student competition poster competition is optional for graduate students. Registration is limited to 100, so register early and if spaces fill up, priority registration may be given to poster competitors and judges.
Poster Competition Eligibility: Any MMID MSc, PhD, MD-PhD graduate students working MMID focused topics. Competitors must submit an abstract by the registration deadline of April 4, 2022.
Competition Registration Date: April 4, 2022
